My areas of interest include thyroid diseases and thyroid echoscopy, polycystic ovary syndrome, and medical treatment of obesity. In recent years, I have been particularly interested in longevity trends and perimenopause/menopause.
Only about 5% of women know what is happening to their bodies and what to expect during perimenopause/menopause. It is still a stigma in our community. There is a lack of education not only among women themselves, but also among healthcare professionals. It is time to change that.
